At the Empire's southern frontline, Tanya von Degurechaff and her battalion are exhausted by the scorching sun and the lack of rations. So when the battalion suddenly receives a large amount of pasta from headquarters, the group's morale quickly rises. However, without enough water, they are not able to prepare the pasta. Soon, the battalion discovers an adequate amount of water after a successful reconnaissance mission. Although the troops can now eat something they have not been able to in a long time, something still seems missing.
